A Silicon Valley jobs announcement, new board members and a Best Managed Company award are all positive signs at outsourcing firm Voxpro.
Late last year, outsourced customer experience and technical support company Voxpro announced 400 new jobs in Cork, increasing employee numbers to over 1,400.
The good news hasn’t stopped since then. In March of this year, the company announced a further 450 jobs at its new centre of excellence in emerging Californian tech hub Folsom, where 200 people are already the Voxpro roster.
It’s a clear sign of a company gearing up its international operations, explained CEO Dan Kiely. “North America is a very important part of Voxpro’s expansion strategy in 2016 and beyond. Our location in Folsom, California is really adaptable and adds to the partnership relationship we have with our clients in the San Francisco Bay area,” he said.
According to Kiely: “At Voxpro we believe that it’s not sufficient to provide world-class products or services – that’s a given. To be considered a global leader, it’s necessary to deliver a unique offering with extremely high levels of personal service. Our success has been built on delivering beautiful customer experience (BCX) in partnership with our clients and through the talent and determination of our team of extraordinary people. In that regard, we’ve been hugely impressed with the talent and passion of our new Folsom team members.”
The company’s customers include Google, Airbnb, Nest, Etsy, Stripe, Red Bubble and Weebly, and it was founded 20 years ago. It offers a range of services such as customer support, technical support, multilingual, sales and order management and outsourcing for clients.

“Voxpro’s North American expansion is in full swing with the imminent announcement of another new site,” said Jon Ward, the company’s US general manager. “Our announcement today of 450 additional roles in Folsom will ensure sufficient highly trained individuals are in position for our continued expansion. We are also looking to the East Coast where we will open a sales and marketing office in New York later this year, together with an East Coast centre of excellence.”
The company has also taken the opportunity to add to its board of directors, with the appointment of PayPal EMEA vice president Louise Phelan, as well as Voxpro managing director Aidan O’Shea.
“Louise’s senior leadership experience is what sets her apart in informing strategic decisions for scaling businesses,” explained Kiely. “Her talents in growing multinational companies such as PayPal and GE will assist Voxpro as we face into this dynamic growth period. Similarly, Aidan has been an outstanding addition to the Voxpro family since he joined us as managing director in 2014. His ability to devise sustainable, win-win, growth strategies that deliver lasting value for our clients gives him the edge in our push for growth.”
